On March 29th at 8.30 pm it is time for this year’s Earth Hour. Driven by WWF this event is held worldwide towards the end of March annually, encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.
It is now a gateway to a larger movement where different projects are supported. It is one example of a grass roots movement trying to create change and a new attitude to activities that affect the climate.
